I’m Lee Shotton, a qualified freelance translator working from French, Spanish and Catalan into English. My specialisms include the environment, real estate, travel and tourism.
I hold an MA (with distinction) in Technical and Specialist Translation and Interpreting, and a BA (first-class Hons) in French and Hispanic Studies. I bring my personal enthusiasm for language-learning and foreign cultures to my professional work, providing my clients with accurate, nuanced and well-researched translations.
I intend this site to be a record of my experiences working freelance, an informal way of recording CPD, a space to discuss things directly or indirectly related to translation, and a way of indulging in writing.
